Bliss in Bhutan
18 - 31 October 2025 - Book now!

Let Peter guide you on an unforgettable adventure to the mysterious country of Bhutan. This ancient Buddhist kingdom floating high in the Himalayans offers a rare opportunity to experience a truly unspoiled corner of the planet. It’s a place of dramatic scenery and majestic mountaintop temples. A place where Happiness is measured on its own National Index. And where the warmth and generosity of the locals leave a lasting impression on all who accept their hospitality.

This tailored journey has been created by Journeys of the Spirit and will guide you through the most magical and spiritual places in Bhutan. Flying into Paro airport in the west, you’ll experience the bustling markets of Thimphu and sample the delights of the local cuisine, before heading east along rushing rivers, exploring local villages and the verdant countryside.

Once in central Bhutan, you’ll enjoy three full days to discover the ancient monasteries and temples, meet with the local monks and hear the stories that are woven into the very fabric of this mystical land. You’ll also get to visit the Punakha Dzong, the winter home of the Je Khempo, a spiritual leader akin to the Dalai Lama. On your second last day, an invigorating hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest monastery perched on the cliff above the Paro Valley will give you a chance to reflect on your own spiritual journey.

"I believed that my trip to Bhutan would be life-changing and I think it has been. Everything is so much clearer and what I will take home with me, will be a little piece of Bhutan in my heart. It's unforgettable. I've learned some valuable lessons and GRATITUDE is top of that list." Connie C

"Extremely well-organized trip. A wonderful 2-week journey in nature with calmness to reset for the modern world. When I return home, I will continue with rituals every day and the Demartini Breakthrough method."Cate R

"Gained great insight to mindfulness, forgiveness, and gratitude. When I return home, I will continue early morning Tai Chi and meditation." Ric C

Bliss in Bhutan supports the Red Beanie Project, an initiative designed to support the Nuns and disadvantaged young women of Bhutan. What began as a collaborative community project through Soroptimist International with women throughout Western Australia creating these red beanies, has grown into a deep and rewarding exchange. Both for the women that lovingly create these hand made beanies and scarves, and for those who receive them.
